Sovini Trade Supplies delivers hampers to vulnerable people across Merseyside

Sovini Trade Supplies helped to stock and deliver hampers across Merseyside last month alongside staff from across parent company, The Sovini Group.

Staff spread the Christmas cheer as they travelled around Merseyside delivering Christmas hampers to over 73 households affected by Universal Credit, and a mix of gifts to a number of community centres and food banks.

Sefton Children’s Trust, Sefton Children’s Centre, Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre, Sefton and Litherland Children’s Centre, Sefton Food Bank and One Vision Housing customers were amongst those that received gifts.

Gifts were tailored to each recipient providing everything needed for the festive season. Including food, brand new toys and clothes for babies and children.

Staff from The Sovini Group worked closely with His Church charity to aid local residents during this time of year with additional pressures of Christmas.

Roy Williams, The Sovini Group Chief Executive Officer said:

“It’s important for us to support not only our customers but the local community in general at an expensive time of year. Our staff are always trying to find ways to overcome financial hardship and loneliness, especially over the festive period. These Christmas gifts will hopefully bring some Christmas cheer to local residents.”

Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre received gifts for more than 20 families that receive their support. Cllr Susan Bradshaw is part of the Family Support Team at the community centre and said:

“We really appreciate all the support for the people and families in our local community.”
