Team members at multiple Sovini Trade Supplies stores have are donated and delivered materials to the Bootle Tool Shed, as part of the STS Rising Stars programme.
Members of the team at the Ellesmere Port and Heysham Road stores delievered materials in one of our electric vans, including timber, paint, paintbrushes, saws, filler, and other essentials.
Bootle Tool Shed was set up for those who live and work in Bootle and the surrounding areas, with the aim of helping to alleviate the effects of social isolation. They offer friendly and comfortable surroundings where people can go and get involved in activities such as woodwork and joinery, painting, DIY, furniture making, or whatever the group or individual fancies!
Daniel Barrett, Deputy Branch Manager, Sovini Trade Supplies Ellesmere Port, who is working on the project, commented:
“Working with this charity has given us a really good insight into the passion people have for helping others. It’s been great to meet new people and contribute to a good cause.”
Echoing Daniel’s sentiment of contributing towards a worthy cause, Wade Baugh, Warehouse Supervisor, Sovini Trade Supplies Heysham Road had this to say:
“It’s great to see the work that Bootle Tool Shed are doing, they have a lot of enthusiasm for helping their local communities.”
Finally, Lewis Morton, Key Accounts Coordinator at Heysham Road added: “It’s been nice getting involved with something local where we can see the impact we are having.”
From radiator covers, to herb planters, from rustic chairs to ottoman storage, the skilled folk at Bootle Tool Shed work on a wide array on projects – view the gallery for more details.
The Sovini Trade Supplies Rising Stars programme is an employee scheme which looks to develop employee skills and knowledge and aims to provide the tools to progress into more senior roles, with the value of ‘promotion from within’ being at the core of the project.
